Franks has top-scored for Notts in both innings against Lancashire
Lancashire remain favourites to win the Division One match against Nottinghamshire, despite a home-team fightback led by Paul Franks.
Sajid Mahmood (5-74) and Kyle Hogg (4-44) reduced Notts to 81-7 in their second innings, a lead of just 101.
But Franks (57) and Andre Adams (52) added 119 for the eighth wicket to steer their side to 216 all out, and set Lancashire 237 to win.
Lancashire survived 13 overs to close on 32-0 in pursuit of victory.
