
John Price is the only home player left in the Welsh Grand Prix as the Port Talbot bowler defeated Darren Burnett.
Price beat Scotland's Burnett in a tie-break at Llanelli's Selwyn Samuel Centre to set-up a last eight clash with Scot David Gourlay on Thursday.
Welsh Indoor Champion Damien Doubler took former World Champion Greg Harlow to a tie-break before losing two-nil.
Mervyn King is also in the quarter-finals after beating qualifier and fellow Englishman Calvin Leuty.
