Coleraine have announced the signing of Shelbourne captain Mark Coyle on a two-and-a-half year deal for an undisclosed fee.

The 28-year-old midfielder started his career at Finn Harps before joining Shels in 2021.

He captained the side to the League of Ireland Premier Division title in 2024 and featured in all six of Shelbourne's league phase games in the Uefa Conference League in 2025.

He becomes Coleraine's fourth permanent addition in the January transfer window as Ruaidhri Higgins side look to remain in the Irish Premiership title race.

"We are delighted because Mark will bring so much to the group," Higgins told Coleraine's website.

"He brings quality and a know-how but it's also about day-to-day behaviour and habits in terms of how he trains and conducts himself.

"He will help to build a culture here that eventually turns us into winners, so to bring Mark with that experience and quality is huge for us.

"He's in his prime years for a midfielder. He'll bring a real drive, a real hunger and quality to the group."

Jack Scott has left the Bannsiders to join Portadown on a permanent deal after spending the first half of the season on loan at Carrick Rangers.

Elsewhere, forward David Fisher has left Glentoran to join Vietnamese side Hanoi FC for an undisclosed fee.

The 24-year-old joined the Glens in September 2023 from AFC Wimbledon and went on to score 25 goals in 95 appearances, helping the club win the County Antrim Shield in 2025.

At V-League side Hanoi, Fisher will be reunited with his former Glentoran boss Warren Feeney, who is assistant to manager Harry Kewell.

"I've absolutely loved my time at Glentoran. Winning the County Antrim Shield was a special moment for me and something I'll always look back on with pride," Fisher told the Glentoran website.

"This move is an exciting opportunity for me, both on and off the pitch. It gives me the chance to experience a new culture, learn a new language and continue to develop as both a person and a player and it feels like the right time in my career to take on that challenge.

"I want to thank the manager, the staff and my teammates for their support and the fans have been incredible to me from the first day.

"Glentoran will always mean so much to me and I'll be a supporter of the club for life."
