Darcy Ward was crowned world under-21 champion in 2009 and 2010
Swindon have signed Darcy Ward on loan from Elite League champions Poole.
Australian Ward, 23, is recently available from a ban after failing a breathalyser test in August 2014 and is considered one of the most talented riders in speedway.
"We're delighted to welcome Darcy," said Swindon boss Alun Rossiter. "It's a fresh start for him and we are looking forward to working with him."
Swindon have also signed Eduard Krcmar, but Kyle Howarth has departed.
