
Newcastle have signed Fiji fly-half Waisea Luveniyali on a one-year deal.
The 26-year-old played under new director of rugby Dean Richards during a spell at Harlequins, external and had a spell at London Welsh last season.
"I am very happy to join and I'm looking forward to the challenge of getting the club back to the Premiership," he told the club website., external
"There is a really good chance of us going back up and we will have to work very hard to achieve this goal."
Luveniyali, who can play at both number 10 and full-back, has played 16 times for his country and featured at the past three World Cups.
