Watford fans invaded the pitch to celebrate promotion to the Premier League
Watford have announced the construction of 700 more seats at Vicarage Road to increase capacity ahead of their return to the Premier League.
The additional seating will be built in the Sir Elton John Stand, replacing staircases which are currently at the foot of the stand.
That will take the capacity of the ground to above 21,000, more than top-flight rivals Swansea and Bournemouth.
Watford finished second in the Championship to earn promotion.
Other requirements to improve the stadium for the Premier League include the addition of goal-line technology and a permanent television studio.
