Paul Pogba has now scored seven Serie A goals this season

Paul Pogba produced a stunning winner to increase Juventus's lead over Roma at the top of Serie A to 11 points with victory over Sassuolo.

The former Manchester United midfielder half-volleyed home from outside of the box as Juve finally broke through Sassuolo's defence in the 82nd minute.

The result was harsh on the away side, who defended well only to be undone having gone in search of a winner.

Juve are now well on course to secure a fourth consecutive Scudetto.

France midfielder Pogba joined Juve for a reported £800,000 in compensation upon the expiry of his contract with United in July 2012.

In January, Pogba's agent Mino Raiola said the 21-year-old would leave Juve in the next two years, probably for a world record fee.

Elsewhere, Miroslav Klose scored twice as Lazio moved into the Champions League qualification spots on goal difference with a convincing 4-0 win at home to fifth-placed Fiorentina.

A stunning volley from Lucas Biglia and an Antonio Candreva penalty put the hosts two up before Klose, 36, added two predatory strikes in the last 15 minutes to dislodge Napoli from third.
