Chris Dagnall rescued a point for League One strugglers Leyton Orient against Preston North End at Deepdale.

Orient's David Mooney found the bottom corner from the edge of the box before Jermaine Beckford levelled with a header from a Paul Gallagher free-kick.

Sam Johnstone saved well to deny Mooney and Gallagher put Preston in front from the spot after Scott Cuthbert fouled Kyel Reid in the penalty area.

Dagnall met a Gianvito Plasmati flick-on and coolly netted the equaliser.

Former England striker Kevin Davies came off the bench to make his 800th career appearance, replacing Preston's Chris Humphrey on 85 minutes.

The point moves Preston to third in the table, while Fabio Liverani's Orient move up one place to 19th in the table.
