Leyton Orient 5-2 Southport

Shaun Batt's double helped secure a comfortable FA Cup first-round success for League One leaders Leyton Orient as they disposed of non-league Southport.

Batt struck the opener after just three minutes and it was soon two as David Mooney's left-footed shot went in.

Luke George pulled one back from close range for the Sandgrounders, but Lloyd James turned a cross in for Orient.

Batt added his second from close range and Dean Cox rifled home from 25 yards before Matty Flynn's consolation.
