James Norwood: Forest Green striker signs two-year extension

Forest Green Rovers joint top goalscorer James Norwood has signed a new deal at the Blue Square Bet Premier club until the summer of 2015.

The 22-year-old has scored 11 goals this term and last month bagged a hat-trick in the 5-0 demolition of Newport.

"It's taken a lot of work," manager Dave Hockaday told BBC Gloucestershire.

"It brings another meaning to the word protracted. It's been hard but we've now got smiles on our faces as he's now put pen to paper and we're delighted."

Hockaday added: "It's a brilliant signing for us. The timing is great as well, as we're going into the final 15 games of the season."
