Blackett has previously played for Dagenham and Peterborough
Luton Town defender Shane Blackett has signed a one-year extension to his Kenilworth Road deal.
The 28-year-old has also passed a medical after hernia and groin problems restricted him to just eight appearances last term.
He has featured 37 times for the Hatters since joining from Peterborough two years ago.
"Shane is an experienced and quality defender," boss Gary Brabin told the club website, external.
"He'll be the first to admit that last season was a nightmare for him but he's now fit and focused on getting match fit, ready for a busy pre-season.
"It's another important re-signing for us and I'm really pleased for Shane that he's overcome last season's disappointment."
