Skinner has established himself as one of the world's best
Newquay-based surfer Ben Skinner finished runner up in the longboard event at the 2011 Boardmasters.
Despite missing out on victory as he was beaten by France's Antoine Delpero in the final, Skinner has qualified for the world tour.
Frenchman Delpero sealed the victory with a long peeling right to receive a 9.17 out of 10.
Skinner did however produce the performance of the event in his semi-final scoring a perfect 10 point ride.
American Jennifer Smith took out the Ladies Longboard title with a dominating victory over Georgia Young.
