Think ironing is dull? You're not alone.
But now there's a whole new leisure movement dedicated to livening this tedious chore up.  | | Is this ironing? Yes, it is. Is this extreme ironing? No. |
It's called Extreme Ironing. And it's taking South Yorkshire by storm. Extreme Ironing afficionados get their kicks by ironing in the open air - and the more outlandish the environment, the better. Mountains, rivers, tall buildings, mineshafts... no location is unsuitable for a quick spot of ironing. The benefits of the pursuit are clear. Good exercise. A sense of exhilaration.
