AeroVenture

AeroVenture, the South Yorkshire Aircraft Museum, is home to planes, helicopters and World War II displays.

Prices: Adults £4, Children £1.50, Senior Citizens £3, Family Ticket £8

Opening Times: Wednesday to Sunday (plus bank holidays): 10am - 5pm. Winter opening 10am - 4pm. Also open on Tuesdays during school holidays.

A collection of British 15 Jets and helicopters are displayed in the historic aircraft hangar, built in 1940.

Sited at Doncaster Lakeside the museum occupies the last part of the former Doncaster airfield.

The site also features other buildings of the wartime period which are part of a long-term restoration scheme to return them to use.

The collection of aircraft and buildings being restored by the AeroVenture are on view during your visit.

Aircraft on view: D.H. Vampire T11, D.H. Chipmunk T10, D.H. Dove, Westland Scout, Whirlwind H.A.R. 10, Wessex, Bell Sioux and others.
