Winners: Carleton Hobbs Bursary Award 2009 Winners
The 2009 Carleton Hobbs' bursaries have been awarded to:

MELISSA ADVANI (Drama Studio London)
EMERALD O’HANRAHAN (Bristol Old Vic Theatre School)
JOSEPH COHEN-COLE (Drama Centre)
RHYS JENNINGS (Royal Welsh College)
PIERS WEHNER (Bristol Old Vic Theatre School)


They will join the Radio Drama Company on Saturday 25th July 2009.

Four other finalists are this year's runners-up - and each of them will be cast as a freelance actor in one of our autumn/winter productions:

Keely Beresford (Bristol Old Vic theatre School)
Eloise Secker (Rose Bruford College)
Charlotte Worthing (Oxford School of Drama)
Orlando James (Drama Centre)
Michael Shelford (Bristol Old Vic theatre School)

Twenty accredited Drama schools and colleges took part - a total of 80 students.

Chaired by Steven Canny, Producer Radio Drama, the judges comprised Jonquil Panting, Lynda Ronan, Neil Dudgeon and Rebecca Wilmshurst.

Hearty congratulations to all finalists and especially to Emerald, Melissa, Joseph, Piers and Rhys with whom we look forward to working in the summer.
