Emily Eavis' 2007 music tips

Which bands will be big this year? How will the music scene shape up? Ponder, deliberate and ruminate no more as the Glastonbury Festival heiress gives her predictions, and hints at who'll be playing Glasto 2007.

Speaking to BBC Somerset Sound's Adam Thomas, Emily said: "I'm excited about the Arctic Monkeys' new album which is due out in the spring.

"Then there's bands like the Kaiser Chiefs that are going to make big comebacks, I reckon."

Emily also talked about who might be playing at this year's Glasto.

"The View are a brilliant band. They've had a couple of Top-40 singles and are gaining momentum now. I'm sure they'll be on the bill somewhere," she said.

Predicting that second-album bands will be big this year, Emily also spoke about the difficulties of making that successful follow up.

"With the amount of touring bands like the Kaiser Chiefs are doing, there's not much space to write and record their next record," she said.

"The second album is probably one of the worst ones to make.

"The Arctic Monkeys have got a lot of pressure on them to come up with something as good as, or better than, their first record which was obviously a huge success."

Emily further predicted that singer/songwriters such as Paolo Nutini and James Morrison would go on to make an even bigger impact on the UK music scene in 2007.
