"We're really excited about our new home," said Charlotte. "Taunton is a lovely ground, and one we've always enjoyed playing at. The people are so welcoming in Taunton too. "It's a lovely place to be around, and we're looking forward to the future here." Drew also spoke to the chairman of Somerset County Cricket Club (SCCC) Giles Clarke, and the chief executive of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) David Collier in Taunton. Regional training camps will also take place throughout the year and building work will improve ground facilities. "The plans for the ground look amazing for Taunton, and for Somerset. The England Women's team are looking forward to being a part of it," said Charlotte. "Taunton has one of the best wickets in the country already, and now it looks like it will be one of the best venues too." |
