Lloyd died after suffering skull and facial fractures in a street attack in Taunton on 25 September 2005.

On 5 August 2006, Jay Wall and Andrew Betty, both from Taunton, were found guilty of his murder.

They were sentenced to serve a minimum of 12 and 13 years respectively. The third defendent, Ross MacCormack, was found not guilty of murder and manslaughter.

Remembering the night of the attack, Adam said: "I don't think I'll ever forget when it happened. I got a phone call from Dad, who was crying.

"All we've thought about since Lloyd's death - besides grieving - is the trial. For that to be suddenly over, we feel lost."

"He said: 'Lloyd's been attacked.' Then, after a bit of a pause, he said the two dreaded words that will haunt me forever: 'He's dead.'

"My stomach churned, and it was an awful feeling."

Adam also spoke to Andrew about what life has been like for him and his family since Lloyd's death.

"From that point, all we've thought about - besides grieving - is the trial. For that to be suddenly over, we feel lost.

"We have to re-build our lives on our own now."

Asked if he had any final words about his experiences, Adam said: "I'd like to say thank you to everyone.

"Thank you to friends of mine, my family's and of Lloyd's - and to the rest of the community - for supporting us. It's really appreciated."
