The Goddess Temple in Glastonbury
The Goddess Temple in Glastonbury

New Goddess Temple needed

The first Goddess Temple to be founded in the British Isles is in the centre of Glastonbury. However, due to a rise in the number of people who wish to worship Her, the Priestesses of Avalon are on the look out for a new temple.

Kathy Jones, a Priestess of Avalon and co-founder of the Goddess Temple in Glastonbury, spoke to BBC Somerset Sound's Vic Morgan about the ways of the Goddess, and why a new temple is needed.

Goddess expert, Kathy Jones

"The Goddess Temple in Glastonbury is a small temple, where people who love the Goddess can come and express their creativity, and show their love for Her.

"There are so many people who come to the ceremonies we hold now that the space we have is too small.

"We feel that the time has come when the Goddess needs to be recognised in the outer world, so we're beginning the process of finding bigger premises for all the people who want to come and honour Her."
