Now in its fourth year, the Exmoor Food Festival showcases naturally grown and locally produced foodstuffs. Over 50 events are being held across Exmoor, including all kinds of cookery demonstrations from patisserie to authentic Indian, talks and farm walks, dinners and tastings. Join in the harvest of Somerset's most famous product and, more importantly, enjoy a free tasting! Exmoor Harvest Market (Saturday 8 October) - Dunster Castle Food glorious food! Enjoy everything from local cheeses, meats, cider, wine, chocolates, jams, chutneys, cakes, game and fish. Mmmmmm... nice! Nutcombe Chocolates Open Day (Monday 10 October) - JWB Unit 5, Mart Road, Minehead, 2 to 4pm and 6.30 to 8.30pm Visit Nutcombe Chocolates in Minehead and see behind the scenes. Meet a National Park Ranger and learn more about some of the thousands of species of fungi found on Exmoor. The walk is around 1.5 miles long. Walking boots and suitable clothing are essential. No dogs. - Price: £3.
