Now in its fourth year, the Exmoor Food Festival showcases naturally grown and locally produced foodstuffs.

Over 50 events are being held across Exmoor, including all kinds of cookery demonstrations from patisserie to authentic Indian, talks and farm walks, dinners and tastings.

Cider Apple pressing (throughout the festival) - Torre Cider Farm, Washford

Drink up thy zider on Exmoor

Join in the harvest of Somerset's most famous product and, more importantly, enjoy a free tasting!

Exmoor Harvest Market (Saturday 8 October) - Dunster Castle

Food glorious food! Enjoy everything from local cheeses, meats, cider, wine, chocolates, jams, chutneys, cakes, game and fish. Mmmmmm... nice!

Nutcombe Chocolates Open Day (Monday 10 October) - JWB Unit 5, Mart Road, Minehead, 2 to 4pm and 6.30 to 8.30pm

Visit Nutcombe Chocolates in Minehead and see behind the scenes. There will be demonstrations of the techniques used to make a variety of chocolates and truffles and a chance to try your hand at making some yourself.

Fungi Walk (Saturday 15 October) - meet in the Tarr Steps National Park car park at 2pm

The Festival food is naturally produced

Meet a National Park Ranger and learn more about some of the thousands of species of fungi found on Exmoor. The walk is around 1.5 miles long. Walking boots and suitable clothing are essential. No dogs.
- Price: £3. Under 16s and full-time students free

Exmoor Food Fair (Sunday 16 October) - Porlock Village Hall

The grand finale for the Food Festival sees the best of Exmoor produce for sale all under one roof. Taste, try and buy all kinds of Exmoor food and drink.
