Dunster was used as a location (supposedly in Cornwall) in "The Cornish Mystery" - an episode of Poirot with David Suchet made in 1989 or 1990.

The Flockton Flyer a fictional TV series about a family living on an old railway line with a steam loco was filmed on the West Somerset Railway

Drayton Langport was the location for Westward TV's April Fool Spoof "Spigott" about a village which refused to go decimal in 1973. It was produced by Douglas Neil. I remember it well as I took part as "Mrs Cooper" the village postmistress!

Catch Us If You Can (Dave Clark Five 1965) Bath, Burgh Island, that abandoned village used by the army for target practice. Casualty - Everywhere in Bristol The stairwell in House of Elliot was filmed in the building next to Aardman Animations set which burnt down. Giblet Boys was filmed around Kingswood. Teachers was based at Merrywood School but renamed Summertime or some similar nonsense. Note claims for "The Wickerman" at Wookey Hole but no mention of the cave appears in the credits

re: TV/Films in Somerset, Luccombe, near Minehead was used as a location for both The Jumbo Spencer Reform Club (Childrens serial) in 1976, and for the BBC's Invisible Man in 1984.

'The Ghost Hunter' [CBBC show] involving a victorian shoe-shine boy. much of the 2nd series was filmed on catherine hill in the centre of FROME [the scenes were that of back in victorian England as they had a time machine]

'He Knew He Was Right' BBC TV 2004 - Wells and Williton Station on the West Somerset Railway. The WSR was not used to film the Harry Potter movies but did see a visit by loco 'Taw Valley' in red Hogwarts livery having just hauled a book promotion train around Britain with J.K.Rowling on board. The loco in the movies is Olton Hall of GWR origin. Robin Hood Prince of Thieves was not filmed in the Quantocks but Bryan Adams pop video of 'Everything I Do' was - at Holford Glen and Kilve Beach.

I'm pretty sure Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves was filmed on the Quantocks. I lived nearby when they were shooting.

The cast of 'Casualty' were in Yeovil to film a scene about a boy trapped in a sewer. I believe it was shown in June last year (2004) Wessex Water (Yeovil)allowed them to film it using one of their 'training' sewers. Wessex Water donated the cost of the screening to St Margaret's Hospice Yeovil where I was the Nurse Manager. Simon MacCorkindale presented the cheque to us.

The big swop
a low budget filmed in Clevedon, had em up in arms. all about wife swopping and when it was premiered at the curzone it was picketed by locals about 1990ish

I'm sure Casualty, which is based in Bristol, uses locations in Somerset for some of its stories. I can remember a story where the paramedics rescued someone from a flat beach with sand dunes. I'm sure that was Berrow Beach.
