A British Tamil arrested on allegations of providing video footage to British Channel4 television on alleged war crimes in Sri Lanka had 71 compact discs in his possession say the police. Police Criminal Investigation Department (CID) told Colombo magistrate that the suspect was arrested on 30 June. Nandavanam Jagatheeswaram is accused of trying of tarnish the image of Sri Lanka military by providing fake war crimes footage. Police said they are investigating the content of the arrested 71 CDs. Court allowed police to detain the suspect until the 2 August.
