An American court has handed down long prison sentences on two men for trying to acquire anti-aircraft missiles and other military equipment for the Tamil Tiger rebels in Sri Lanka. Sathajhan Sarachandran and Nadarasa Yogarasa were sentenced to twenty-six and fourteen years in prison. They were among four men arrested in 2006 in an FBI sting operation as they attempted to purchase the weapons.
