Speaking at a media briefing “Three years for Chintanaya: Country is lost” samaraweera said that the Mahinda Rajapaksha government is using the war to cover up an economic collapse which is inevitable and is planning for parliamentary elections before they get exposed.

He said that Sri Lanka has been ranked the 28th among the weakest economics of the world by the World Bank and the International Monterey fund.

Causality figures

Samaraweera hit out at the government for hiding causality figures of soldiers.

“On Tuesday 235 injured sold i ers were admitted to the Colombo National Hospital while there were 85 admitted to Kalubowila 90 to Sri Jayawardanapura and 300 more to the Army hospital and 200 more sons of the land were brought to the Jayaratna Funeral Directors.

He said that the government is planning to hold parliamentary elections on December 9th while hoodwinking the voters that this endless war could be won.

“Every hour or so they announce that some junction or the other has been captured as braking news” said Samaraweera.

He said the Mahajana wing is ready to face parliamentary elections as part of a strong alliance.
