LTTE Kilinochchi complex bombed
LTTE political wing head, B Nadesan
Government says 'terror leader Nadesan's office' was targetted
Tamil Tigers have confirmed Sri Lanka Air Force claim that the LTTE complex in Kilinochchi was hit by air raids on Friday.

Sri Lanka defence ministry said the main office complex of LTTE political wing leader, B Nadesan, was hit by two air raids by Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) fighter jets.

LTTE peace secretariat said the bombs fell on the "office complex of Tamil Eelam Police Headquarters".

It added that the attack came after a continuous artillery and multi-barrel fire on Kilinochchi since Thursday evening. The LTTE said two civilians were injured in the shelling.

Nadesan was the head of LTTE police service before being appointed as the leader of the political wing.

The fighter jets also raided another military base of the LTTE near Triarukulam, defence ministry website said.
