Indian officials in Sri Lanka have admitted that two Indian nationals have sustained injures in the LTTE air raid in Vavuniya military complex. Indian High Commission Spokesperson Dinkar Asthana told BBC Tamil service that two radar technicians who were doing routine maintenance and servicing work in the complex were injured in Tuesday's attack. They were staying there temporarily and now being treated in hospital for their wounds, he added. The two Indian nationals were identified as Roop and Thakur by Indian television channel, Times Now. Military denies However, Indian statement has been denied by the Sri Lankan army. Military spokesman, Brig. Udaya Nanayakkara told BBC Sandeshaya: "No foreign nationals are working with the military as far as I am concerned". Sri Lanka's air force has shot down a plane belonging to the rebel Tamil Tigers, military officials said. A rebel artillery strike and ground assault on the air base killed 10 soldiers, 10 rebels and one policeman, the ministry of defence said. But The Tamil Tigers said the aircraft that participated in the attack "safely returned home".
