The fourth one-day international between Sri Lanka and India in Colombo has been postponed without a ball being bowled due to poor weather. Light rain began to fall 90 minutes before the scheduled start and continued, forcing the umpires to abandon the match three hours later. The match will now be played on Wednesday as provisions have been made for an extra day. No crowds The Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has earlier appealed to the public to come early to the ground on Tuesday and support the national team. The unusual appeal was made after the cricket authorities decided not to employ Russian cheer leaders after the first ODI held in Dambulla. “The gates at R. Premadasa Stadium will be open from 10.AM for the next two ODI games between Sri Lanka and India.Sri Lanka Cricket kindly request the public to enter the grounds early and support our Cricketers,” the statement read.
