Concern over missing journalist
Free Media Movement say, Keith Noyar the deputy editor of the Nation Sunday newspaper has been reported missing and suspected to have been abducted.

His car was found abandoned near his house late Thursday evening. The police team has started investigations in order to find him.

In response to a report from the Free Media Movement in Sri Lanka about the incident, New York based Committee to Protect Journalists[CPJ] had issued a statement expressing concern for the safety of the journalist.

“We are very concerned for the safety of missing journalist Keith Noyahr,” said CPJ Asia Program Coordinator Bob Dietz.

The organisation also urge the safe return of Keith Noyahr, “Authorities must act immediately to locate him and ensure his safe return.” says the CPJ in their brief statement.
