More on the 'conspiracy'
JVP MP Vijitha Herath

Some dissident group members of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) are ready to reveal soon the conspiracy, says JVP MP Vijitha Herath.

JVP, MP for Matale District, Sujatha Alahakoon has realized what had really happened and will on Friday disclose details of the conspiracy to the country.

“Along with her there are others who unknowingly supported this conspiracy. They too have now realised what has happened”, says Vijitha Herath.

National Patriotic Movement

Vijitha Herath said that the executive member of the National Patriotic Movement (NPM), Senartne Silva is a member of the conspiracy group and that they have evidence to prove it.

"We have photograph of Senaratne Silva with the JVP MPs planning the conspiracy", he said.

Senaratne Silva of the NPM told Sandesaya that he rejects the allegations levelled against him.

He said that he did not have any long standing relationship between a selected numbers of JVP MPs but said that there was a direct connection between the JVP Propaganda Secretary Wimal Weerawasna and himself.

"These allegations are creations by the JVP", he added.

Referring to Wednesday’s incident at parliamentary complex, MP Vijitha Herath said that to bring in the name of Jayantha Wijesekera into the theft of three vehicles is part of this conspiracy.

The vehicles were parked at the MPs' garage in parliament when they were stolen, JVP MP, Piyasiri Wijenayake told Sandesaya on Wednesday.

Jayantha Wijesekera is a popular politician in the east and this is an attempt to discredit the JVP just before the Provincial Council Elections, MP Vijitha Herath added.

Another vehicle stolen

The driver of the JVP MP for Puttalam District, Samansiri Herath was attacked and his vehicle was stolen on Thursday morning.

"It is a shame to say that my driver was attacked and the vehicle was taken away by people related to JVP itself", MP Samansiri Herath said.

They tried to kidnap me too but it was foiled by my security, he added.

Search for vehicles

A police search team is investigating into the stolen vehicles of the JVP parliamentarians alleged to have been taken to JVP headquarters in Pelawatte, Battaramulla.

DIG N.K.Ilangakoon said that investigations are underway and no arrest has been made.
