Three injured in blast
Sri Lankan military says that one soldier was injured in a bomb blast in the countries south east.

The blast due to a anti personnel mine in Thalgasmankada injured two employees of the wildlife department, said military spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara.

This is the area where a suspected Tamil Tiger attack on a Sri Lankan military outpost on Monday killing six soldiers.

Speaking to BBC Sandeshaya, Brigadier Nanayakkara said the anti personnel mine went off when the military was conducting search operations.

Meanwhile the Sri Lankan military said that helicopter gunships destroyed a boat while another fled away in the north eastern seas.

While the Media Centre for National Security claimed that the two boats belongs to the LTTE, Jaffna United Fishermen Organisation said that the attack destroyed a fishing boat.
