Air force jects bomb Tiger areas
The Sri Lankan armed forces say fighter planes have bombed a Tamil Tiger ammunitions depot in the north of the island.

Sri Lanka military spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said the bombs hit an armaments and explosives store in Mullaitivu.

LTTE denial

The Tamil Tiger rebels said the air attack hit a civilian area, damaging several homes and injuring six people.

The reports could not be independently verified.

The military have made advances against the rebels in the east of the country and correspondents say fighting is now focused on the north of Sri Lanka.
