Highways Minister Jayaraj Fernandopulle's view is not the Sri Lankan government's stand on the United Nations representative, says the Foreign Minister Rohitha Bogollagama. Minister Bogollagama told a news conference that the Minister Jayaraj Ferndopulle describing the UN Deputy Secretary General for Humanitrian Relief Co-ordination, John Holmes a terrorist was not the government view. Referring to questions raised by media he said "It was said but has to be taken in the context". Terrorism Conference Sri Lanka will host an international conference which focus on how to counter global terrorism, Foreign Minister Rohitha Bogollagama said on Thursday. 'Terrorism: A Challenge to Democratically Elected Governments' will be the theme of the conference aiming to make the world aware of the effects of terrorism and the need to counter the same. Minister Bogollagama said another aim is to bring terrorist organisations into the democratic stream. The conference will have eminent personalities and current ministers who have led terrorist organisation towards democratic process such as Ministers Douglas Devananda and Dharmalingam Sidhdharthan.
