Officials in Indonesia say they have extradited an alleged Tamil Tiger rebel to the United States. A police spokesman in Jakarta said that Pratheepan Thavarajah has been sentenced by a court in the US, in absentia, to fifteen years in prison for trying to smuggle weapons to his home country.
