United National Party (UNP) which does not want to disapprove air raids by government admits government has done a mistake by bombing civilans. General secretary of UNP,Tissa Attanayake told BBC that as pointed out by media it is evident that civilins had been caught up in airforce bombing. Such attacks would bring disrepute to the government and the government should be careful not to attack civilian population, he said. Asked whether the UNP, which is a party to the government by agreement with a menorandum of understanding(MOU) supports arial bombardments, General Secretary, Attanayake said government's intention was to combat terrorism.
