Sri Lankan Military officials said that an airman was killed and another injured in a claymore mine blast near the northern town of Vavuniya. Officials said the bomb went off on a road in Vavuniya while the men were on regular physical training exercises Tuesday morning. Defence officials have blamed the LTTE for the attack. The area was later cordoned off and a search operation conducted by the troops soon after the attack. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
