The head of the Sri Lankan Peace Secretariat,Dr.Palitha Kohona said that the government has not yet received LTTE conformation on the dates for resumption of talks. LTTE spokesman, Daya Master has told BBC Tamil Service that LTTE has nothing new to say with regard to peace talks. Meanwhile, peace envoy Yasushi Akashi now visiting Sri Lanka in an attempt to save the fragile peace process is expected meet rebel leaders on Tuesday, Amal Jayasinghe, the AFP correspondent in Colombo said. He will persuade both parties to come for talks in Geneva and that will be his main agenda, Amal Jayasinghe said. Akashi who arrived in Sri Lanka on Saturday is also due to meet President Mahinda Rajapakse.
