They belong to a group of five workers who went missing on Tuedsay.

They were abducted from Welikanda in Polonnaruwa by an unidentified armed group.

It is reported that the two workers were released after photographing them by the abducters.

A spokesman of TRO told BBC Sandeshaya from Tamil Tiger held Kokkadicholai that the victims were asked by the kidnappers not to divulge any information to the media the police or the Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission (SLMM).

However, nothing has been heard about the five people including Premini Thanuskody, the Chief Accountant of the TRO, Batticaloa abducted earlier on Monday, the TRO said.

TRO has made a request that the government of Sri Lanka and Civil Society exert pressure to ensure the safety of the people missing.
