Tigers say Sivaram supported Prabhakaran's leadership
Sri Lanka's Tamil Tigers have blamed the Sri Lankan government should take resposibility of the killing of prominent Tamil journalist D Sivaram.

The LTTE said military intelligence and paramilitary Tamil militant groups are responsible for the killing of Tamilnet editor Sivaram on Thursday.

In a statement condemning his abduction and murder, the Tamil Tigers said Sivaram was a fearless champion of Tamil nationalist cause and had supported the leadership of Tamil Tigers' chief Velupillai Prabakaran.

The statement also recalled that Sivaram had faced threats to his life and that his residence in Colombo had been raided by the Sri Lankan military intelligence.
