Sentencing Ashwin Kumar Sinnathamby the judge said that he has behaved like a beast and such acts warrant a tough sentence.

Sinnathamby, an estate superintendent in the Lindula area in the central hills was ordered to pay rupees 25 lacks to each child as compensation and a further fine of rupees five thousand.

In the event of failure to pay Sinnathamby will have to spend another eight years behind bars.
The defendant had jumped bail while court proceedings were carried out.

He was arrested by immigration authorities while trying to enter the USA and later handed over to local authorities.
