King Khan was recently conferred the Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters title by the French government at a ceremony held in Mumbai.

Khan was presented with this award to celebrate his 15 year successful career in the Bollywood film industry.

Last year, Khan's releases, Chak De India and Om Shanti Om were runaway box office successes in the UK cinemas.

Released by Eros International based in London, Om Shanti Om took the box office by storm when it released nationwide in the UK cinemas.

A glitzy premiere of the film at Empire Leicester Square proved to be a great success too.
