Four unemployed youths with different idiotic characters find themselves in a graveyard. Ritesh, Javed, Ashish and Arshad are searching for hidden treasure after a dying gangster reveals its whereabouts. But, when each decides to go his own way, they are totally unaware that Inspector Kabir (Sanjay) is close on their trail. A series of hilarious twists and turns sees the lads getting deeper into trouble as they try hard to get out of their original mess! Supposedly inspired by the Hollywood flick, 'It's a Mad Mad World', Dhamaal (meaning riot) is a treat to watch particularly thanks to its brilliant one-liners, directed by Indra Kumar. Javed Jeffrey is hilarious as the totally stupid Manav, bringing the house down with laugh-aloud comic moments. He's closely followed by Ritesh Deshmukh whose natural humorous flair, together with brilliant comic timing, adds extra zest to the slapstick goings-on. This lad is surely a strong contender for the best comedian award, especially after his appearance in the recent romantic comedy, Heyy Babyy. While Ashish Choudhary is a revelation to watch (showing his comic flair with great confidence), Arshad Warsi is a let-down considering he is a veteran in this department, especially in films like Munnabhai MBBS and Lage Raho Munnabhai (as the laid back Circuit). Here, he just seems lost. As for Sanjay Dutt, he gives able support throughout as Inspector Kabir. On the whole, Dhamaal is a laugh riot which will bring a smile to your face!
