Adlabs Films have decided not to release their thriller Johnny Gaddaar in UK cinemas on Friday 28 September 2007.

Most of the UK cinema going population is of Muslim origin, and the proposed release date fell during Ramadan.

The Bollywood film industry is presently going through an all time low as far as cinema attendance is concerned.

"For this reason we have decided not to release our film Johnny Gaddaar ", said Pranab Kapadia Business Head, Adlabs Films UK.

He continued,"we are also delaying the release due to a high BBFC certificate assigned to our film which will keep families away. So we are not taking a risk with a September release."
