This Telegu version revolves around Shankar Dada (Chiranjeevi), a local gangster and his side kick, ATM (Srikanth). | Shankar Dada Zindabad |
Shankar falls in love with Jahnavi (Karishma Kotak), a radio presenter whilst listening to her voice on his portable radio. The opportunity to meet his lady love comes true when he enters a radio phone-in competition based on Gandhi philosophy. The winner gets a chance to meet Jahnavi. With the help of some history professors - who are forced at gun point by ATM to give the answers - Shankar becomes the winner and gets that elusive chance of meeting the lady of his dreams. | Shankar Dada Zindabad |
Impressed by his knowledge on the great Mahatma, Jahnavi invites Shankar to 2nd Innings House to give a lecture on Gandhiji. Troubled that he would loose Jahnavi, Shankar reads up on Gandhi. He becomes so absorbed by his studies that he starts hallucinating about the great Mahatma which in turn helps him to overcome many obstacles put to him by society. The twist in this Telegu tale comes when Rajalingam (Sayaji Shinde) eyes 2nd Innings House for the marriage of his daughter. | Shankar Dada Zindabad |
