Director Anil Sharma's Apne has turned out to be a big box office success in the UK by grossing an amazing £401,500 on 44 screens. It entered the UK film charts at number six. Apne brings together the Deols (Dharmendra, Bobby and Sunny) for the very first time on screen, which might explain why the film's success. Meanwhile, Aap Ka Surroor, which stars singer/ director Himmesh Reshammiya, entered the charts at number 13 as it took a total of £23,500 at the box office only on 21 screens. Himmesh makes his Bollywood debut in this action thriller, which is supposedly based on his real life story. Awarapan came in at number 19 by grossing a surprising total of £64,000 in UK cinemas. Once again its distributor can be congratulated for releasing films with next generation stars like Emraan Hasmi.
