Director Ashutosh Gowarikar's (of Lagaan and Swades fame) forthcoming Diwali release, Jodhaa Akbar was recently premiered at Cannes.

The lead stars Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan were present during the screening at the 60th Cannes Film Festival which began on 16 May 2007.

Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan made their first public appearance as a married couple. They were also joined by veteran actor, Mr Amitabh Bachchan.

A historic epic in the making, Jodhaa Akbar is expected to see a Diwali release in October this year.

The musical score of the film has been composed by A R Rahman.
