| Madam Sushmita is the owner of one of the biggest casinos in Bangkok. She also deals with a number of illegal businesses in the city. Meanwhile Raj and Priya are two strangers struggling to make a living in a new city. They bump into this child by accident. Ready to claim the money, they decide to take the boy personally to Madam. During their journey they strike up a friendship with this young lad. All is well until they reach their destination very late at night. They find Madam dead in her own home.
As panic sets in, they decide to flee from the crime scene leaving their suitcase and footprints behind. It is not long before they become prime suspects in the city's biggest murder case. When the chief of police (Akshay Khanna) begins his investigation, what appears to be a simple case, turns out to be more complex. A whole new set of suspects with a whole new set of motives emerge complicating matters even further. These include Sonia and Vicky, a married couple and a high society playboy. Of course, no whodunit film is complete without the presence of a butler as one of the suspects! Soon, the chief of police realises that all the suspects seem to have water tight alibis for Sushmita's murder. He knows that someone is lying and he must prove who that person is in order to save Raj and Priya from going to jail. Masters of suspense, directors Abbas and Mustan are back with another intriguing thriller full of chills and edge-of-the-seat entertainment in the form of 36 China Town.
