Salaam Namaste is Saif and Preity's fourth film together. The movie, marks the directorial debut of Siddharth Anand, who assisted Kunal Kohli in the UK box office hit Hum Tum. The film also stars comedian Arshad Warsi who found the Bollywood spotlight after the popular film, Munnabhai MBBS. Tania Zaetta, the Australian actress is said to play Arshad's girlfriend in the movie. The musical score is provided by Vishal Shekhar, who has composed five songs.
