Lolita is very strong minded but at the same time both innocent and wise. Shekhar, on the other hand has a pompous carefree nature. Despite their differences, Lolita and Shekhar have always shared the joys and sorrows of life from childhood to adolescence. But as time goes by, an intense love develops between the two which they are not immediately aware of. But when Girish (Sanjay Dutt), a suave, lively and sensitive man, enters their lives, both Shekhar and Lolita realise that something special exists between them. But as their love for each other intensifies, a web of suspicion and misunderstandings begins to develop which tears them apart. Girish takes a liking to Koel (Raima Sen) who is easy-going. Filmmaker, Pradeep Sarkar makes his directorial debut with this film. He has previously assisted Vinod Chopra with films like Mission Kashmir and Munnabhai MBBS. Model turned actress Vidya Balan, makes her Bollywood debut in this film. Shot in Darjeeling and Kolkata, this keenly awaited movie is expected to release in the UK this summer 2005.
