The film stars Kajol, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal in lead roles. Kareena Kapoor plays the role of Julia Roberts as the step mother whilst Kajol plays Susan Sarandon's role as the terminally ill mother. Arjun Rampal plays Ed Harris' role as the father of two children. Kareena has been attending workshops to prepare for her role as an ordinary career woman. She will be getting a deglamorised makeover as a working class girl in the movie by Bollywood designer Manish Malhotra. Meanwhile, Kareena recently completed her shooting schedule for director Raj Kumar Hirani's 3 Idiots where she stars alongside Aamir Khan. The movie releases in UK cinemas this December 2009.
