It is a known fact that noted television star Prachi Desai was producer Ekta Kapoor’s favourite. And that fact remained when she starred opposite Farhan Akhtar in Rock On. The story for Rock On was written by Abhishek Kapoor who happens to be Tusshar and Ekta's cousin. It followed that Tusshar was impressed by Prachi’s work in Rock On. So he recommended her for a part opposite himself in the forthcoming comedy, Life Partner. Remarked Tusshar, 'It's true that I wanted Prachi in Life Partner because she fitted the character really well.' Life Partner is an all out comedy about three friends who have a different outlook on life and marriage. How they come to terms with their differences forms the hilarious crux of the movie.
